Our baby girl is now officially a high school freshman! Man…time flies!

We are super proud of her, and thankful for the grace God has given us in helping us raise a wonderful young lady.

Looking forward to the next chapter…even though it seems to have come so fast.

We’ve always rewarded our kids when they did good in school, made the honor roll, etc.

When the boys were in elementary school and started getting letter grades I made a deal with the kids that if they ever get a 4.0 (all A’s) I would take them out to eat at a place of their choice.

Well, they’ve all been out to eat with me at some point in their school careers, this year, our daughter made it 3 out of 4 quarters!

I owed her for the second time she did it, and she wanted to go to a new Chinese spot called Panda Kitchen.

Hey…I don’t mind, whatever keeps them motivated I’m all for it…we’re super proud!

Daughter wanted to try sushi she saw at Walmart (Moji Brand) and convinced her oldest brother to try it with her.

Of course we had to record it as he never tried sushi before and she’s only had it maybe one other time.

Who knew Walmart had sushi though? LOL.

Our kids decided to take the BeanBoozled challenge from Jelly Belly.  You get a box of jelly beans with normal and wild flavors, except you don’t know which is which.

There are flavors like peach that also look like the barf flavor, strawberry banana that looks like the dead fish bean, chocolate pudding that looks the same as the canned dog food bean and so on.

They went through all of the flavors, and there were definitely some really nasty ones.

It was fun to watch though and they had fun doing it, check it out!

Marriage is the foundation of the family, and building up a loving, supportive, godly marriage is super important to my wife and I.

Over the years we’ve had our struggles just like any other couple, but if you make sure the foundation is solid you can get through any storm.

One major tool that helped us change the way we see marriage and even the way we love each other is the 5 Love Languages book by Gary Chapman.

This is a great book and we highly recommend it to husbands and wives or husbands and wives to be. We wanted to share out thoughts on it and how we feel it has helped us over the years.

Let us know what you think, and if you’re interested pick up a copy over at Amazon: http://bit.ly/5LoveLanguagesBook

Using our link will help out the site and channel by giving us a small percentage of the sale. Don’t worry, the price remains the same for you, it’s just an easy way to help support what we are doing.

Or…just go pick it up at your local book store, either way, you should definitely get a copy!
